Australian AcroJammers! The time has come! After an unbelievably successful first two rounds of The Exchange, an amazing 50+ jammers in Adelaide and 120+ in Melbourne, it’s Brisbane’s time to shine in The Great Acro Exchange of 2016 – Part 3

The Brisbane community will be opening their homes and making their spare rooms, couches or even crash mats available to ‘Acro Pilgrims’ from all over Australia for an epic weekend long jam.

For the travelling Acro Pilgrims, this is a chance to enjoy a blockbuster of an inexpensive weekend away, connect to a new community and experience another city from a local acrobat’s ‘birds eye view’

Welcome Dinner at Kangaroo Point Cliffs Friday at 6PM:
A warm welcome to Brisbane with a potluck BBQ by the river at Kangaroo Point Cliffs where everyone contributes something to create a smorgasbord of acro-delicacies
For early arrivers this is a great rock climbing area and with plenty of soft grass for some pre-weekend playing

AcroJam Sleepover at Red Star Fitness Collective- Friday 9pm:
The lovely Rebecca from Redstar Fitness Collective is following suit from the Melbourne Exchange and offering her training and performance space for an AcroJam Sleepover! This is an evening of social jamming and all round creative exchange

AcroJam in Captain Burke Park – Saturday at 12PM:
Kicking off the first official Jam of the weekend, you know the drill: all things aerial, balance and acro related come to life. We’re coming together from all over Australia to play, share, learn, and grow in a celebration of jam culture and each other! For the evening there is no plan… But be ready for a big one! Just like an AcroJam this is a free form night where awesome people come together to make their own fun; you can see a show, go dancing or stay in and have a cook up. Its up to you to drive this night, if you have a fun idea share it!

AcroJam in New Farm Park – Sunday at 12PM:
Backing up the craziness that is always day 1, day 2 is set to follow suit at New Farm Park. Lets come together and continue to connect and play before saying goodbye to our international AcroJammers until the next Exchange!

— What is an Exchange? —

As an AcroJam is “an afternoon in the park” an Exchange is “a weekend in the city”. Jam organizers from each hosting city will create the “time and the space” but its up to you to bring the magic!

Exchanges are a celebration of our local Jam culture at an epic new level. The same way many of us have forged strong connections in our local community an Exchange is a chance to forge these same connections to a whole new group of people in another city.

These events are completely non-commercial and people driven. They are not a workshop or a class, nor do they promote any external classes making profits, they are intended to be as low cost as possible and inclusive as possible. Some will chose to fly over and stay in a hotel, others will car pool and couch surf.

Very simply an Exchange is a national level gathering for our local AcroJam groups!
